Residential Build · Site Management

The site-management workflow a residential builder runs from one QR sticker per room — credentialed managers author once; everyone else scans to read their slice.

Built by GetPost Labs for a residential construction client. The product is owned and operated by the client.

The problem

On a residential build, the information that matters — plans, levels, warnings, deliveries, trade specs — scatters across email, text messages and paper on the wall. Revisions go stale the moment they are printed. When a variation or dispute comes up months later, nobody can prove who knew what, and when.

What we built

FieldTag keeps all of a project's information in one place, tied to the physical room. A waterproof QR on each door frame routes whoever scans it to their own view: no app, no login. Site managers are the only login — they author rooms, plans, levels, warnings, deliveries and health-and-safety, and print the labels. Builders scan for a read-only view, subcontractors see only their rooms and spec cards, and inspectors get a checklist and a timestamped sign-off.

Step 1

Set up the site

Org → project → rooms, with site datum and levels.

Step 2

Author each room

Plans, levels, warnings, deliveries and trade specs — tagged by who sees what.

Step 3

Scan and go

One QR per room routes each person to their slice, always at the latest revision.

Scope

  • Role-routed QR access (no app, no login)
  • Live plan revisions & link revocation
  • H&S / SWMS checklists
  • Inspection sign-off
  • Timestamped activity feed
